Yes, this has been my experience as well. I prefer to choose mentors in specific skill areas (e.g. presentation skills, marketing, entrepreneurship, Internet marketing, wealth creation). And when I mentor others, I also make it clear that I can only help them in specific things, and they should look for other mentors as well.

I definately agree with the 'think mentors not mentor' I have mentors of different ages and experiences all that help me in different ways - including my Mum and Dad. And even though I am still fairly young I do try to 'mentor' others in any way I can.
