Helping young professionals succeed in work and life

Time, in the equation of all things doable.

We can achieve anything that we set our eyes on, given the time.

Take our jobs, for example. How did we come to know all the things that we know now? Things that we had no idea about when we first started our jobs.
While our brains work in ways that are mysterious to the most of us (holler @ my medical peeps), there are some things that are so obvious but are so normal to us that we tend to look past them. To me, some of those things are repetition and familiarity. Our best tools for success.
Let's say if someone puts you in a room filled with flowers and tells you to name all the different types of flowers... with your eyes closed, how do you think you will go?
What if this person (let's picture a very charming and attractive young man/woman - whichever tickles your fancy - for entertainment's sake) takes you to the room everyday and each day, teaches you the different scents of the flowers and their names, wouldn't you think that you would at least know a handful over the course of time?
Needless to say, repetition can also lead to boredom. Which is great if we think about it in terms of motivating ourselves in our search for better and more exciting things.
But I suppose the point to be made and hopefully, to be taken here is that we can do whatever we want.
Anything!
It is all just in the matter of time.
And who knows, we might even meet Mr/Mrs Charming along the way!

Hey Xinmei, totally agree with you. That is probably one of the biggest challenges with learning new things. Trying to take it easy. Ahh, if only :)

Great post Mon!!

I agree, we can achieve anything if we put our minds to it and challenge our fears. Looking forward to more posts from you!

Good Point, Monica.  It is all just in the matter of time. We just need to believe it and take it easy.

Great first blog post Monica! Short, succint, and food for thought!

You are so right. We CAN achieve anything we want to do if only we OPEN our eyes and go for it.  It may not happen overnight, but it will happen!
