HHGenXYZ Networking Event - Review

How intimidated are you by networking events? For me, it will always be intimidating. The thought of having to mingle around with people you don’t know can be pretty frightening at times. The fear might hinder your decision to join a networking event.  Networking events can turn out to be a negative experience if you end up not getting to know anyone or unable to make new contacts. On Nov 1, I attended HHGenXYZ Networking Sundowner organised by HHG Legal Group. What is fact and what is fiction?

What do you do when you heard that your loved ones are diagnosed with cancer? The news will probably cause changes in your mood, your emotions and family dynamic. When my brother was diagnosed with cancer last year around this time, things changed in my family. My parents struggled to accept the truth and they still do. Our family became really conscious of what we eat and what they buy (most food in our house now are organic food). I felt like I couldn't do much because I was away from them as…See More

Young people in aged care

Today I had the opportunity to attend a consultation session about involving young leaders in aged care. The participants were members of Southcare and different stakeholders in the community. Even though I had to skip half a day of my work, I totally did not regret this! It was a great session with lots of meaningful discussion. When I was in studying in uni, no one around me would say that they will be volunteering or doing an internship in an aged care organisation. It was basically a sector…See More
