8 reasons why you will never want to give up blogging

I've been blogging since June 2010, and my how time has flown. I can't quite imagine life without blogging now. Here are 8 reasons why you will never want to give up blogging: Your creative juices have been untapped.  Once you start, you just can’t stop. To have a constant flow of ideas, to be able to write quickly, to dream of topics and wake up in the middle of the night and think to yourself ‘that will make an awesome post’...it’s an amazing feeling.  You constantly meet new people. Bloggers…See More

Finding that balance

There comes a time in your life when you need to re-analyse your priorities.  At the moment I’m re-analysing mine in respect to social media / computer time.Since 2010, it has taken up an increasing amount of my time BUT I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve loved blogging, getting to know Twitter, connecting with people on Facebook and LinkedIn.  I’ve ‘met’ some great people, made friends, and learnt a lot.And then came Tumblr, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram…I know I’ve forgotten others I succumbed to.  At one…See More

Profile Information

About Me:
A little about me:

I am 33, and have a love for travel, writing, blogging, reading, music, my partner, my dog, my family and friends. I have a Bachelors degree in Communications, Majoring in Film and Media, and have worked in Project Management for the last 6 years. I have just achieved P3O accreditation…so aim to explore that more as driver of mine is good governance.

At all other hours I am a writer and blogger extraordinaire (this is my real passion). At the moment I’m the National Blogging Coordinator for Emergen, which is focussed on activating young people across Australia to step up into leadership roles in their community. In my role, I aim to encourage others to use blogging as a tool for social change.

You may be wondering about the title of my blog?

1) I’m a red-head, and like most red-heads, have been teased most of my life for it. I actually hated the colour of my hair for years, but I now embrace my ‘red-headedness’ and want to champion the cause for others to do the same – for we all have something we don’t like about ourselves. YOU are who you are, and your uniqueness is what makes YOU special.

2) I do a lot of reflecting. On life, love, family, friends, writing, blogging, pets, other bloggers, depression, travel…we all go through it, and sometimes sharing our stories can actually help. Sharing my story helps me, and I hope that it can help you to. Feel free to share yours with me.
