Try answering these...!

It was actually the lovely post Piri wrote that made me think about this again. There is this book called "Yesterday I cried" by Iyanla Vanzant. There is a question list in it - one I answer when I get confused about stuff e.g. who am I again? Who have I become?

How can we increase the number of Indigenous health professionals in WA?

Posted on March 23, 2011 at 11:30pm 0 Comments

My family moved from Peru to Australia in 1988. They told me the story of how they decided to move so many times. I was 2 yo and they were talking about one of their friends who had just left for Australia. Dad had said, "hey, maybe we could apply to migrate?" Mum had said, "Why ever for? We are doing fine. We have a house. We both have jobs." Dad had said, looking at us 4 kids playing on the floor, "we wouldn't be doing it for us; we would be doing it for these little ankle biter." They…

I will seriously google each of their names to find out how they have impacted their community.  And I finally got to hear the medical legend that is Dr Fiona Wood speak. Having heard so much about her and her 6 kids and doing one of the most boy's club area of medicine, surgery - I gotta say - every girl who studies med have already or will continue to talk about her for years…

Welcome to the yGen club!

yGen is more than a website it’s a community. There are lots of resources to have a look through on the yGen community - articles, ebooks, discussions and videos. Please read the community guidelines section to get started here. Yet the real benefit of membership to the yGen community is in the interaction. We hold face to face events in Perth, webinars across Australia as well as giving you the opportunity to
- Add or comment on blogs
- Ask a question on the forums
- Promote a volunteering or career development opportunity
- Join and participate in your state group

First of all, complete your profile and start getting involved in the discussions. You will start to receive a fortnightly newsletter to let you know of new info on the website including events, posts, competitions and new mentors.

So what goals can ygen help you achieve?

Please feel free to recommend the yGen club to your friends by clicking on the Invite tab at the top.
