Calling all volunteers!

The next Blogging for a Cause Event is now on Emergen, and it is purely dedicated to National Volunteer Week, with the theme 'Inspiring the Volunteer in You'.

We will be kicking off on May 9th right through to the 15th, so it will be a week long opportunity for you to blog about / share your vounteering experiences and promote what you are passionate about!

If you have any questions let me know. Hope to see you all online!

YACVic Internship Opportunity - Anyone interested in Policy Issues?

Do you have a strong interest in public policy and want to learn more about how a Community Sector Organisation advocates on policy issues? Are you passionate about young people getting a fair go in Victoria? Do you have a degree qualification and have you studies related subjects such as policy, politics, law, or the equivalent in work experience? Got a spare 15 hours a week up your sleeve?

YACVic has created a Policy Internship, and is currently advertising for an intern for a three month period from August to October 2010. The internship will provide the opportunity to work closely with the Manager of Policy and Projects on the development of policy submissions and on proactive policy advocacy or campaigns conducted by YACVic.

Applications for the internship close on the 15th of July 2010. Go to http://www.yacvic.org.au/sector/detail-news.chtml?filename_num=318787 for more details
