What would you like to see at the Monthly Meet-Ups?

Hi Chloe, if possible maybe a speaker/expert in a business subject that the majority would like to hear about, i.e, if our venue allows this? 

Also would be great if you could then share with the whole group -  highlights of Emergen ongoing projects so that people know what's happening and can also participate if they like.

Actually I like Fay's idea.

Maybe we could even draw on the Emergen members themselves so that some of them get a chance to develop a few skills by stepping up and giving a talk/presentation on a topic of interest to the majority.

I do like the informality as well though where people get to mingle a bit. Maybe a few meetings as they are now, a few presentations and a few informal discussions where everyone pitches in their experience or thoughts on a specific topic so we all benefit from varying points of view?

Few topic suggestions:
June's meeting is coming up - tax and personal finance - strategies, tips, ideas etc. I'm sure we have someone who can demystify some tax related stuff (depreciations for example) for all of us (esp the entrepreneurs).
Sales & marketing - from selling yourself at a job interview to selling a service or product (so something for everyone)
Networking and communication
How to be an ethical consumer/customer - I think this is important for everyone really so they understand how to figure out if a product is ethically produced no matter what's on the label, how NOT to be a price buyer and how to maintain relationships with people and companies they choose to interact with.

...and now I'm drawing a blank so before all the silly suggestions come out, I'll stop.
