Red Cross Queensland Youth Committee members wanted 2012-2013!

Event Description

The Australian Red Cross Queensland Youth Advisory Committee (QYAC) is looking for some switched-on young volunteer committee members to assist in taking the organisation forward in engaging youth in the power of humanity. QYAC is the executive Steering Committee of the Red Cross Young Humanitarians Queensland.

This committee role includes:
• helping to develop and implement strategies by which QYAC within Red Cross can to make it easier for young people to be involved with Red Cross
• advise Red Cross on how to engage young people in its community service activities
• assist in the identification of priority needs of young people in the community
• generate new ideas and comment on services, programs, policies and activity
• uphold the principles and ways of working of the Australian Red Cross and the International Red Cross Movement

You will need to be between the ages of 16 and 25, based in Queensland and have a keen commitment to working with a team, interest in community activities and want to learn more about how policy, programs and strategies are developed.

And Red Cross now has clubs at QUT, UQ and JCU which are looking for members and executive - an application form is attached

The application form to join Red Cross is attached, the membership fee is $5! cheap!
